Today we begin, here on the blog, a new year. Yes, I realize it is the second of January, but I took some time off to enjoy the holidays with family. With a new year comes new ideas for the business.
In 2016 the MKP website and blog were updated in celebration of five years in business. This is something that was desperately needed, and I love the new site! And since the update, posts to the blog have become more regular, because, well, it is so much easier and quicker.
In 2017, I'd like for the blog to be a place our readers come for various reasons. In addition to seeing our current work, I'd like to provide other content of interest. Some inspiration. Some tips and tricks. A little more about me and this little business that makes me so very happy. I hope you will enjoy our new blog schedule. Yes, we now have a blog schedule.
What exactly is a blog schedule?
Well, as a part of our marketing plan (yeah, we have one of those now, too!), I will be blogging on a more regular basis. I felt that I needed some guidance in this area. What in the world would I post so frequently to keep our readers interested? So our blog schedule was developed as follows: Nature on Monday, Tips, Tricks & Tutorials Tuesdays, Wild Card Wednesday (may be Wild Horse Wednesday, Wall Art Wednesday or What to Wear Wednesday), Throwback Thursday, and Foodie or Featured Friday. These posts will rotate on schedule, beginning with Nature on Monday today. Next week we will have Tips, Tricks & Tutorials Tuesday (although I have no idea yet what that will be), and so forth.
So here you go! Our first Nature on Monday post!
This image was taken in Vermont during our last vacation. You will see so many more images from this vacation that I cannot wait to share with you! The landscape in Vermont is so very different from here in North Carolina, of course. And maybe that is why we are so drawn there. We have vacationed in Waitsfield for years and absolutely love it! This is one of my favorite places.
While my guys go hiking in Stowe, I head to the Trapp Family Lodge's gardens. Depending on the time of year we go, they are usually stunning. Our last year there, however, the gardens were a mess due to storms. I believe it had been five years since our last visit, so I was anxious to return this past year. I was not disappointed!
Look for more images from this trip in upcoming Nature on Monday posts!
And happy New Year! May 2017 be filled with blessings and joy!
