Michelle Kirnan Photography specializes in custom portraiture of families and children with a focus on the relationship.  We preserve the intimacy of kisses shared between a mother and her son, family snuggles on the beach, or the way your 4-year-old’s face lights up when she smiles.

Offering on location or in studio sessions, we’re able capture your child or family exactly how you imagine, in a relaxed lifestyle session or a more posed, traditional portrait session.  We offer a custom portrait experience, from the in home pre-session consultation through the in-person presentation of your images.  We look forward to showing you how much fun a custom portrait experience can be as we travel this road together, becoming friends along the way.

We shoot on location in Moyock, Currituck, Camden, Elizabeth City, and the Outer Banks of NC as well as Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Virginia, from the beaches to open fields and urban locations.  We also offer sessions in our studio, which is conveniently located in Moyock, NC, just four miles from the Virginia state line.
